While we and other data protection organisations across Europe believe that this is in violation of applicable law, we do recommend that you submit an objection to Meta as soon as possible if you don’t want your data to be used for this purpose. The only reliable way to do this is by using the web form for the respective service:
As far as we are aware, there is currently no form for objection to your information being used for “AI” at WhatsApp. We believe that Meta’s policy does not apply to your private WhatsApp messages since those cannot be classified as public posts.
